Diamond Flow - Throw

Diamond Flow - Throw

I’m excited to share with you my first pattern!
it reminds me of electric gridlines and I love working with the diamond shape. its overlay mosaic crochet so only uses the chain stitch, single and double crochet stitches. so its and easy pattern.

EDIT to finish off the pattern you do row 4 and then row 3.

The main beautiful photo is made by crocheter Denise Camp Herrick.

Theirs a chart with Xs and full written pattern, with instructions for border.

The pattern consists of 48 stitches wide by 51 rows. For me with a size 4 hook and DK yarn one pattern repeat measured 13” {34cm} by 13” (34cm} so you can judge what width/height you want your project to be based on this.
I repeated 4 patterns across for my photos which measured 125cm {49”) which would be a nice size for a throw.

You will need double knit yarn in colours of your choice but you will need 2 contrasting colours in my opinion for the definition. A size 4 hook or whatever your yarn recommends.
I found that I used more of the main colour with this project.

Hook and Flow

Welcome!

I create overlay mosaic crochet patterns, I love how creative I can be with just single and double crochet stitches.

I create simple to more complex patterns such as center out techniques, there’s pictorial help and video links in the downloads.

You might notice that all of my patterns have the words spirit or flow in the names, this is my dedication to my late father who was a drummer in a number of bands in the 80’s called “With the Flow” and “Kindled Spirit” and I chose to put those words into my pattern names.

Thank you for your support!
